A few hints you may need to know while studying:
(1) if you are looking for a particular word in the Bible, use a CONCORDANCE;
(2) if you are looking for a particular concept or topic in the Bible, use a TOPICAL BIBLE, a BIBLICAL CYCLOPEDIC INDEX, a TOPICAL CONCORDANCE, a CHAIN REFERENCE SYSTEM or a TOPICAL INDEX;
(3) if you want to know what a certain thing in the Bible means, use a BIBLE DICTIONARY or ENCYCLOPEDIA;
(4) if you are looking for someone’s thoughts on what a verse/passage means, use a COMMENTARY.

    Of the above online resources, I basically only use BlueLetterBible…I have friends who use Bible Gateway and the online study library from Lifeway, but I am not personally familiar with either of them.

    Of the Software resources, I personally use the SwordSearcher software the most. However, the LOGOS software is simply amazing. It is a large program, it takes a lot of memory to run, and cost a lot of money, but for the serious student, I would hightly reccomend it. My suggestion to save a little money is to buy the most inexpensive model that still includes the language books, then buy an add-on package for a Vines, Englishman’s Concordance, and a Hebrew-Greek comparison tool (this will tell you what the OT equivilent of a NT word is and the oppiste also.)

    Ok, just a little more of my thoughts on this stuff.
